CF Industries Holdings (CF) fell 8.748% in the fifteen minutes after its Q2 2026 report. EPS of $4.73 missed the $5.44 estimate, and revenue of $2.22 billion came in below the $2.44 billion analysts expected.

CF Industries manufactures and distributes nitrogen products — ammonia, urea, and UAN — for agricultural and industrial customers. Global nitrogen prices rose from mid-February through the second quarter as the Iran conflict tightened an already-constrained supply picture during peak Northern Hemisphere application season. By the end of the quarter, seasonal demand had eased and the market began pricing in the return of Middle Eastern supply, pushing prices back down toward pre-conflict levels — pressuring the realized pricing behind this quarter's results relative to the estimates set earlier in the period.

Despite the miss, CF Industries raised its quarterly dividend 20% to $0.60 per share, repurchased $230 million of stock (about 2.0 million shares) during the quarter, and received permits in July to begin construction at its Blue Point complex expansion. Management said it expects nitrogen supply to stay constrained and demand to remain constructive through 2026 and into 2027, citing ongoing global production disruptions and supportive grain stocks-to-use ratios.
