Everspin Technologies (MRAM) rose 8.189% in the fifteen minutes after its Q2 2026 report. Non-GAAP EPS of $0.11 beat the $0.09 estimate, and revenue of $18.7 million came in above the $17.3 million expected. On a GAAP basis, the quarter was actually a net loss of $0.15 per share — the beat is on the non-GAAP figure, which adjusts for items like stock compensation.

Everspin develops and manufactures MRAM, a persistent-memory semiconductor technology, for industrial, data-center, automotive, aerospace, and mission-critical applications. Growth in the quarter came partly from initial revenue recognized under a new $40 million contract with a U.S. prime contractor, alongside continued strength in industrial automation, energy management, and aerospace and defense end markets. CEO Sanjeev Aggarwal credited the growth to strength across those segments, while CFO Bill Cooper said the company is balancing investment in its technology roadmap with expense discipline. Guidance for the third quarter of 2026 calls for revenue of $19.5-20.5 million.

The timing may also matter here: one day before this report, Everspin announced a memorandum of understanding with MaxLinear to co-develop MRAM-based persistent memory for AI server infrastructure, covering uses like metadata management, log data, and write buffering. The company also disclosed a satellite-related design win with Astro Digital and its addition to the Russell 2000 Index in June 2026 — a combination of a solid quarter and fresh AI-adjacent news that may be reinforcing each other in the stock's reaction.
